Wait, what in the actual heck? Sure we can appreciate that a sheriff might not quite be trained on what to do in the case of animal welfare issues beyond passing it onto animal control. But surely they would have a little bit of heart to at least not suggest releasing and essentially dumping for a second time a dog that is so obviously in need of help and support. It is lucky that this person who found the dog was not willing to listen, but we are sure that there are several other hoomans who would not hesitate to listen to the advice of such authorities.

Wow, can we just take a second to appreciate this rescuer’s sheer will and determination? The amount of authoritative bodies that have already turned her away, told her to dump the dog and in general give up is abhorrent. And most other people would likely have given up by this point. Leaving the poor pup to likely get hit by a car. This truly shines a light on the lack of animal welfare standards in our world and not only that on how hard you have to fight if you actually want to try and help an animal in need.
